1. Mumbai has launched what municipal officials are calling India's first "musical road." A familiar tune plays as you drive at a set speed on a specially constructed stretch of the Mumbai Coastal Road. The initiative is being described as a blend of innovation and road safety awareness, using sound and vibration to encourage stable driving behavior on a key route. This musical effect is produced by precisely placed rumble strips (grooves laid out at specific intervals and measurements). When a vehicle's tires pass over these grooves at the prescribed speed limit of around 70-80 kmph, the friction and vibration generate a sequence of sound waves that combine to create a tune that can be heard inside the vehicle.

मुंबई ने भारत की पहली "म्यूजिकल रोड" का शुभारंभ किया है, जिसे नगर निगम के अधिकारी भारत की पहली "म्यूजिकल रोड" कह रहे हैं। मुंबई कोस्टल रोड पर एक विशेष रूप से निर्मित खंड पर निर्धारित गति से वाहन चलाते समय एक जानी-पहचानी धुन बजती है। इस पहल को नवीनता और सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति जागरूकता का मिश्रण बताया जा रहा है, जिसमें ध्वनि और कंपन का उपयोग करके एक महत्वपूर्ण मार्ग पर स्थिर ड्राइविंग व्यवहार को प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है।यह संगीतमय प्रभाव सटीक रूप से लगाए गए रंबल स्ट्रिप्स (निश्चित अंतराल और माप पर बिछाई गई खांचे) से उत्पन्न होता है। जब किसी वाहन के टायर लगभग 70-80 किमी प्रति घंटे की निर्धारित गति सीमा पर इन खांचों से गुजरते हैं, तो घर्षण और कंपन से ध्वनि तरंगों का एक क्रम उत्पन्न होता है जो मिलकर एक धुन बनाते हैं जिसे वाहन के अंदर सुना जा सकता है।

2.   The Delhi government has announced a new financial assistance program called the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana for girls from economically disadvantaged families. Under the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, installments totaling ₹56,000 are deposited throughout the girl's schooling and higher education. The interest earned over time is expected to grow the deposit to approximately ₹1 lakh. This amount will be deposited into an Aadhaar-enabled bank account in the girl's name, ensuring direct benefit disbursement and monitoring. Launched on April 1, the scheme aims to reduce the number of girls dropping out of school due to financial stress and to create a savings base.

दिल्ली सरकार ने आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों की लड़कियों के लिए लखपति बिटिया योजना नामक एक नए वित्तीय सहायता कार्यक्रम की घोषणा की है।लखपति बिटिया योजना के तहत बालिका की स्कूली शिक्षा और उच्च शिक्षा के दौरान कुल ₹56,000 की किस्तें जमा की जाती हैं। समय के साथ मिलने वाले ब्याज से जमा राशि बढ़कर लगभग ₹1 लाख हो जाने की उम्मीद है। यह राशि बालिका के नाम पर आधार-सक्षम बैंक खाते में जमा की जाएगी, जिससे प्रत्यक्ष लाभ वितरण और उसकी निगरानी सुनिश्चित होगी।1 अप्रैल से शुरू होने वाली यह योजना वित्तीय तनाव के कारण स्कूल छोड़ने वाली लड़कियों की संख्या को कम करने और बचत का एक ऐसा आधार बनाने के लिए बनाई गई है।

3. The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has signed a common empanelment agreement (MoU) with the General Insurance Council, aiming to provide cashless Ayurveda treatment across India. Under this agreement, AIIA is now empanelled with all 32 general insurance companies affiliated with the Council. This means that insurance policyholders will be able to access eligible Ayurveda treatments without making any upfront payments. This initiative is a significant step towards integrating traditional medicine with the modern insurance system and making Ayurveda healthcare more accessible and economically viable.

अखिल भारतीय आयुर्वेद संस्थान (AIIA) ने जनरल इंश्योरेंस काउंसिल के साथ एक कॉमन एम्पैनलमेंट समझौता (MoU) किया है, जिसका उद्देश्य पूरे भारत में कैशलेस आयुर्वेद उपचार उपलब्ध कराना है। इस समझौते के तहत AIIA अब काउंसिल से जुड़ी सभी 32 सामान्य बीमा कंपनियों के साथ सूचीबद्ध (एम्पैनल्ड) हो गया है। इसका अर्थ है कि बीमा पॉलिसी धारक पात्र आयुर्वेद उपचार बिना अग्रिम भुगतान किए प्राप्त कर सकेंगे। यह पहल पारंपरिक चिकित्सा को आधुनिक बीमा प्रणाली से जोड़ने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है और आयुर्वेद स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को अधिक सुलभ तथा आर्थिक रूप से समर्थ बनाती है।

 4. Key decisions regarding leadership and membership are to be taken during the 145th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session (February 2026) held in Milan, Italy. Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr. of Spain has been re-elected for a second four-year term as IOC Vice-President. Soraya Aghaei Haji Agha, Iran's first female badminton Olympian, has been elected as a new member of the IOC. It was founded on 23 June 1894 by Pierre de Coubertin and Demetrius Vikelas. The IOC is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, also known as the 'Olympic Capital'. Kirsty Coventry (Zimbabwe) is currently the President of the IOC.

इटली के मिलान में आयोजित 145वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ओलंपिक समिति (IOC) सत्र (फरवरी 2026) के दौरान नेतृत्व और सदस्यता को लेकर महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिए गए हैं। स्पेन के जुआन एंटोनियो समरंच (Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr.) को IOC उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में दूसरे चार साल के कार्यकाल के लिए फिर से चुना गया है। ईरान की पहली महिला बैडमिंटन ओलंपियन सोरया अघाई हाजी अघा (Soraya Aghaei Haji Agha) को IOC के नए सदस्य के रूप में चुना गया है। इसकी स्थापना 23 जून 1894 को पियरे डी कूपरटिन और डेमेट्रियस विकेलस द्वारा की गई थी। IOC का मुख्यालय लौसाने, स्विट्जरलैंड में स्थित है, जिसे 'ओलंपिक राजधानी' भी कहा जाता है। वर्तमान में किर्स्टी कोवेंट्री (जिम्बाब्वे) IOC की अध्यक्ष हैं।

5. The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has decided to undertake a comprehensive exercise for base year revision of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Index of Industrial Production (IIP) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) to enhance their relevance, accuracy and international comparability. The proposed new base year for GDP and IIP is 2022-23, and for CPI is 2024. The release of the new series of GDP, CPI and IIP is scheduled for February 27, 2026, February 12, 2026 and May 2026, respectively.

सांख्यिकी एवं कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय (एमओएसपीआई) ने सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी), औद्योगिक उत्पादन सूचकांक (आईआईपी) और उपभोक्ता मूल्य सूचकांक (सीपीआई) की प्रासंगिकता, सटीकता और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर तुलनात्मकता बढ़ाने के लिए उनके आधार वर्ष   संशोधन हेतु एक व्यापक अभ्यास करने का निर्णय लिया है। जीडीपी और आईआईपी के लिए प्रस्तावित नया आधार वर्ष 2022-23 है, और सीपीआई के लिए प्रस्तावित आधार वर्ष 2024 है। जीडीपी, सीपीआई और आईआईपी की नई श्रृंखला का विमोचन क्रमशः 27 फरवरी 2026, 12 फरवरी 2026 और मई 2026 के लिए निर्धारित है।

6. This information is very important for the banking and corporate world. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) to increase its stake in IDFC First Bank to 9.95%. As per RBI rules, prior permission from the central bank is mandatory for buying more than 5% stake in any bank. IDFC First Bank is a leading private sector bank in India, headquartered in Mumbai. The bank came into existence on 18 December 2018 after the merger of the erstwhile 'IDFC Bank' and 'Capital First' (a renowned NBFC).

यह जानकारी बैंकिंग और कॉर्पोरेट जगत के लिए काफी महत्वपूर्ण है। भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने ICICI प्रूडेंशियल एसेट मैनेजमेंट कंपनी (AMC) को IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक में अपनी हिस्सेदारी बढ़ाकर 9.95% करने की मंजूरी दे दी है। आरबीआई के नियमों के अनुसार, किसी भी बैंक में 5% से अधिक हिस्सेदारी खरीदने के लिए केंद्रीय बैंक से पूर्व अनुमति लेना अनिवार्य होता है। IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक (IDFC FIRST Bank) भारत का एक अग्रणी निजी क्षेत्र का बैंक है, जिसका मुख्यालय मुंबई में स्थित है। यह बैंक 18 दिसंबर 2018 को तत्कालीन 'IDFC बैंक' और 'कैपिटल फर्स्ट' (एक प्रसिद्ध NBFC) के विलय के बाद अस्तित्व में आया।

 7. NATO officially launched its new mission 'Arctic Sentry' on 11 February 2026 to enhance security and surveillance in the Arctic region. The main objective of this mission is to counter Russia's increasing military activities and China's growing interest in the Arctic and High North region. This mission will be conducted under the leadership of Joint Force Command Norfolk (JFC Norfolk), which is NATO's operational headquarters located in North America. NATO was established on 4 April 1949 through the Washington Treaty.

नाटो (NATO) ने 11 फरवरी 2026 को आर्कटिक क्षेत्र में सुरक्षा और निगरानी बढ़ाने के लिए अपना नया मिशन 'आर्कटिक सेंट्री' (Arctic Sentry) आधिकारिक तौर पर लॉन्च कर दिया है। इस मिशन का मुख्य लक्ष्य आर्कटिक और 'हाई नॉर्थ' (High North) क्षेत्र में रूस की बढ़ती सैन्य गतिविधियों और चीन की बढ़ती दिलचस्पी का मुकाबला करना है। यह मिशन जॉइंट फोर्स कमांड नॉरफ़ॉक (JFC Norfolk) के नेतृत्व में संचालित होगा, जो उत्तरी अमेरिका में स्थित नाटो का ऑपरेशनल मुख्यालय है। नाटो (NATO) की स्थापना 4 अप्रैल 1949 को वाशिंगटन संधि (Washington Treaty) के माध्यम से हुई थी।

8. The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is observed annually on 11 February. Promoting full and equal access and participation of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The day reminds us that gender equality in science and innovation is essential for sustainable development. According to the UN, women still represent less than 33% of researchers worldwide. In India, about 43% of STEM graduates at the undergraduate level are women, which is one of the highest rates in the world. The Indian government has launched schemes like Vigyan Jyoti and KIRAN to encourage women.

विज्ञान में महिलाओं और लड़कियों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 11 फरवरी को मनाया जाता है। विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग और गणित क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं की पूर्ण और समान पहुंच और भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देना।यह दिन इस बात की याद दिलाता है कि विज्ञान और नवाचार में लैंगिक समानता सतत विकास  के लिए अनिवार्य है। UNके अनुसार, आज भी दुनिया भर में शोधकर्ताओं में महिलाओं की संख्या 33% से कम है। भारत में स्नातक स्तर पर STEM स्नातकों में लगभग 43% महिलाएँ हैं, जो दुनिया में सबसे अधिक दरों में से एक है। भारत सरकार ने महिलाओं को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए Vigyan Jyoti और KIRAN जैसी योजनाएं शुरू की हैं।

9.   The 'India-France Year of Innovation 2026' has been officially launched to further deepen the strategic partnership between India and France. French President Emmanuel Macron will jointly inaugurate it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mumbai during his visit to India (17-19 February 2026). The 'India AI Impact Summit' is being held in New Delhi from 16-20 February 2026. France has been designated as a 'Country of Honour' at 'India Design ID 2026', where French craftsmanship and innovation will be showcased. This initiative is part of the 'Horizon 2047' roadmap, which provides a long-term vision for the relationship between the two countries until 2047.

 भारत और फ्रांस के बीच रणनीतिक साझेदारी को और गहरा करने के लिए 'भारत-फ्रांस नवाचार वर्ष 2026' (India-France Year of Innovation 2026) का आधिकारिक शुभारंभ किया गया है। फ्रांसीसी राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रों अपनी भारत यात्रा (17-19 फरवरी 2026) के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ मुंबई में इसका संयुक्त उद्घाटन करेंगे। नई दिल्ली में 16-20 फरवरी 2026 तक 'इंडिया एआई इम्पैक्ट समिट' (India AI Impact Summit) का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। फ्रांस को 'इंडिया डिजाइन आईडी 2026' में 'कंट्री ऑफ ऑनर' के रूप में नामित किया गया है, जहाँ फ्रांसीसी शिल्प कौशल और नवाचार का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।  यह पहल 'होराइजन 2047' (Horizon 2047) रोडमैप का हिस्सा है, जो 2047 तक दोनों देशों के संबंधों के लिए एक दीर्घकालिक दृष्टि प्रदान करता है।
