The IB ACIO Tier 2 Result 2026 has been officially released by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on 5 March 2026 at its official website www.mha.gov.in. Candidates who appeared in the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive Tier 2 descriptive examination can now check whether they have qualified for the next stage by downloading the result PDF.

The result is published in PDF format, containing the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the Tier 3 Interview stage.

The Tier 2 examination for the IB ACIO Grade II/Executive recruitment was conducted on 11 January 2026. This stage was a descriptive test that evaluated candidates’ writing skills.

Candidates who have cleared the Tier 2 exam will now proceed to the Tier 3 Interview, which carries 100 marks and forms an important part of the final selection process.

Through this recruitment drive, the Intelligence Bureau aims to fill 3717 vacancies for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has released the IB ACIO Tier 2 Result 2026 PDF listing the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified in the descriptive examination.

Candidates can download the PDF and search their roll number using the CTRL + F function to check whether they have been shortlisted for the Interview stage.

4. Click on the link to open the result PDF
5. Download the file
6. Press CTRL + F and enter your roll number to check your result

If your roll number appears in the list, you are shortlisted for the Tier 3 Interview.

The result PDF contains the following details:

• Name of the Exam Conducting Authority
• Examination Name
• Post Name
• Tier 2 Exam Date
• Roll Numbers of Qualified Candidates
• Result Declaration Date

Candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the Tier 3 Interview.

Based on the combined performance in Tier 1 and Tier 2, approximately five times the number of vacancies will be called for the interview stage.

The interview evaluates:

• Analytical and reasoning skills
• Communication and interpersonal abilities
• Overall suitability for intelligence-related responsibilities

Candidates shortlisted for the interview should focus on the following preparation strategies:

• Stay updated with current affairs and internal security issues
• Practice psychometric and analytical questions
• Revise your academic background and graduation subjects
• Prepare answers related to national security and governance
• Improve communication skills and structured thinking

The IB ACIO recruitment process consists of three main stages:

• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 1 Hour
• 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each on

• Evaluates personality traits and suitability for intelligence services.

The final selection is based on the combined score of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Interview.

A total of 3717 vacancies are available for the post of ACIO Grade II/Executive.
