IBPS SO Admit Card 2026 Out: Download CRP SPL-XVI Prelims Call Letter, Exam Date & Instructions

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the IBPS SO Admit Card 2026 for the CRP SPL-XVI Preliminary Examination. Candidates who successfully applied for Specialist Officer recruitment can now download their IBPS SO Prelims Call Letter 2026 through the official candidate-login portal.

The IBPS SO Preliminary Examination is scheduled for 29 August 2026. Candidates must download their call letter before the examination and carefully verify the reporting time, shift, examination-centre address and instructions printed on it.

Latest Update: The IBPS SO CRP SPL-XVI Preliminary Examination call letter and Hindi Information Handout are now available on the official IBPS portal.

Candidates should use only the official IBPS website or the official candidate-login link to download the call letter.

Follow these steps to download the IBPS SO Preliminary Examination call letter:

1. Open the official IBPS SO admit-card login page.
2. Enter your Registration Number or Roll Number.
3. Enter your Password or Date of Birth in the prescribed format.
4. Fill in the captcha or verification code displayed on the screen.
5. Click on the Login button.
6. Your IBPS SO Prelims Admit Card 2026 will appear on the screen.
7. Check all the information printed on the call letter.
8. Download the call letter and save it as a PDF.
9. Take a clear printout for the examination day.

Candidates should preferably keep more than one printed copy of the admit card for safety.

Candidates can access their call letter using:

• Registration Number or Roll Number
• Password or Date of Birth
• Captcha/security code

The registration number and password were generated during the online application process and were also sent to the candidate’s registered email address and mobile number.

If the login page does not open properly, candidates should:

• Check the entered registration number carefully.
• Enter the date of birth in the format shown on the login page.
• Avoid extra spaces while entering credentials.
• Clear the browser cache or use another updated browser.
• Try again after some time if the official website is facing heavy traffic.

After downloading the admit card, candidates must verify the following information:

• Roll number
• Registration number
• Photograph and signature

If there is any major discrepancy in the call letter, the candidate should contact IBPS through its official grievance system before the examination.

The IBPS SO Preliminary Examination under CRP SPL-XVI is scheduled for 29 August 2026.

Candidates should treat the date, shift and reporting time printed on their individual call letter as final.

The CRP SPL-XVI recruitment is being conducted for 1,035 Specialist Officer vacancies across participating Public Sector Banks.

The recruitment covers the following posts:

• Law Officer (Scale I)

The vacancies are provisional and may change according to the requirements reported by the participating banks.

The examination pattern varies according to the Specialist Officer post. Candidates must follow the pattern applicable to the post for which they applied.

For IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer

For Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari

Each section is separately timed. Candidates cannot freely transfer the unused time of one section to another section.

There is a penalty for incorrect answers in the objective examination.

For each wrong answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. No penalty is generally applied to a question left unanswered.

Candidates should avoid random guessing and attempt doubtful questions only after eliminating incorrect options.

Candidates should carry:

1. Printed IBPS SO Prelims Call Letter 2026.
2. Original valid photo identity proof.
3. Photocopy of the same photo identity proof.
4. Passport-size photographs, if required in the call letter.
5. Scribe declaration or prescribed certificate, where applicable.
6. Any additional document specifically mentioned in the call letter.

The name on the identity proof should match the name printed on the call letter.

Commonly Accepted Photo ID Proofs

Subject to the instructions printed on the call letter, acceptable identification may include:

• Aadhaar Card or e-Aadhaar
• PAN Card
• Passport
• Permanent Driving Licence
• Voter ID Card
• Bank passbook containing a photograph
• Photo identity card issued by a recognised college or university
• Employee ID
• Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer or authorised representative

Candidates should not rely on an expired, damaged or unclear identity document.

Candidates must carefully follow these guidelines:

• Reach the examination centre before the reporting time.
• Do not confuse reporting time with the examination start time.
• Late entry may not be permitted after the gate closes.
• Carry a clearly printed call letter.
• Paste the required photograph on the call letter, if instructed.
• Carry the original photo ID and its photocopy.
• Follow the instructions of examination-centre staff.
• Sit only at the system allotted to you.
• Do not communicate with another candidate during the examination.
• Complete biometric verification and other security checks.
• Do not leave the examination hall without permission.
• Retain the authenticated documents required for subsequent stages.

The examination-centre address should be checked in advance. Candidates travelling from another city should plan their journey early.

Candidates should not carry:

• Mobile phones
• Smartwatches
• Calculators
• Bluetooth devices
• Earphones or headphones
• Electronic pens
• Pagers
• Storage devices
• Written notes
• Books or study material
• Bags or other restricted belongings

Arrangements for the safe custody of personal items may not be available at the venue. Candidates should carry only the permitted documents and essential items.

After downloading the call letter:

1. Verify your name, photograph, post and category.
2. Check the exact examination date and shift.
3. Locate the examination centre on a map.
4. Estimate the travel time to the centre.
5. Arrange the required original photo ID.
6. Prepare the photocopy and photographs.
7. Read the complete Information Handout.
8. Check whether any declaration or additional certificate is required.
9. Take at least two clear printouts.
10. Revise the post-wise exam pattern and sectional timing.

Incorrect login details

Use the registration number and password sent during registration. Enter the date of birth exactly in the format prescribed on the login page.

Login page is slow

Heavy traffic may temporarily slow down the IBPS server. Refresh the page after a few minutes or try during non-peak hours.

Captcha is not visible

Reload the captcha, clear the browser cache or open the page in another updated browser.

Forgot password

Use the password-recovery facility available on the official candidate-login page, if provided.

Admit card appears blank

Enable pop-ups, allow PDF downloads and try opening the call letter on a desktop browser.

Details are incorrect

Raise the issue promptly through the official IBPS grievance portal and preserve the complaint reference number.

The selection process consists of:

The Preliminary Examination is used for shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination. Final selection is based on the marks considered under the applicable Main Examination and interview rules, subject to eligibility verification.
