Selection Procedure:

All eligible candidates should apply online before the last date for registration of application.

a) The selection process will consist of online tests (Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Descriptive Test) and Interview.

b) Candidates qualifying in the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Descriptive Test will be further shortlisted for Interview before the final selection.

c) Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for Online examinations and Interview.

d) The particulars of the Online Examinations are detailed as under:

Candidates shall be required to qualify in each test/section by securing the minimum passing marks as determined by the Company, and shall also be required to secure the minimum overall qualifying score as prescribed by the Company.

(ii) Descriptive Test:

The descriptive Test of 60 Minutes’ duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English and Hindi Language (English Essay – 10 marks, Hindi Essay – 10 marks, Letter writing (Hindi) – 10 marks, English to Hindi Translation – 10 marks & Hindi to English Translation – 10 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and/or Hindi and will be conducted through online mode.

The marks obtained in the Main Examination (Tier-II), comprising the Objective Test and Descriptive Test, and the Interview shall be considered for preparation of the final merit list in the ratio of 75:25, respectively. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Tier-I) shall not be considered for preparation of the final merit list for selection.

Questions will be displayed on the screen of the computer. Answers are to be typed using the keyboard. For Hindi typing, the candidates should have knowledge of the following key-board layout:

(i) Inscript

(ii) Remington (GAIL)

Before start of typing answers to questions in Descriptive Paper please check all key functions of the keyboard. The Candidates will get 60 minutes to answer the questions.

a) All the questions in Online Examinations (Preliminary and Main Examinations) will be of objective type with alternative choices out of which one will be the correct answer. The candidate has to select the correct answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which he/she feels is correct. There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidates. For each wrong answer marked, one fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as penalty (applicable to both - Preliminary & Main examination). However, there shall not be any penalty for the unanswered questions. The alternative/option that is clicked on will be highlighted and will be treated as the answer to that question.

b) There will be a section wise cut off in each section and an overall cut off in each category.

c) The Scores of Online Examination will be obtained by adopting the following procedure:

d) Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.

e) The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores* *Scores obtained by candidates in any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.

f) Test wise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal points up to two digits.

g) In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same consolidated score, final merit is decided based on the Date of Birth (candidate senior in age is placed above the candidate junior in age).

Interview:

a) The candidates qualified in the Competitive Online Main Examination will be called for interview up to three times the vacancies of the respective categories/discipline. Interview will be conducted at select centers. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 75:25 respectively.

b) Outstation candidates called for Interview will be reimbursed the to-and-fro Sleeper Class railway fare or bus fare, as applicable, by the shortest route from the station nearest to their place of residence to the place of the interview, subject to submission of valid proof of having undertaken the journey for the purpose of attending the interview.

c) In case a candidate is called for interview and is found not satisfying the eligibility criteria (Age, Educational Qualification etc.) he/ she will neither be allowed to appear for the interview nor be entitled for reimbursement of any travelling expenses.

d) Mere participation in the interview shall not be construed as confirmation of fulfillment of the eligibility criteria. If, at any stage, including during or after the interview, a candidate is found not to satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria (including Age, Educational Qualification, etc.), his/her candidature shall be liable to be cancelled, irrespective of whether he/she has appeared for or completed the interview. Such candidate shall not be entitled to any travelling expenses/reimbursement.

e) The candidates called for interview would be required to submit the attested copies of certificates in proof of their age/date of birth, educational qualifications, community to which they claim to belong etc., at the time of interview.

A. APPLICATION REGISTRATION

1. Candidates to go to the Recruitment Section of Company’s and click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new screen.

2. To register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.

3. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by cho osing "SAVE AND NEXT" tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the "SAVE AND NEXT" facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates s hould fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.

4. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION BUTTON.

5. The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

6. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the 'Validate your details' and 'Save & Next' button.

7. Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature detailed under point "C".

8. Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.

9. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before Final Submit.

10. Modify details, if required, and click on 'COMPLETE REGISTRATION' ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.

11. Click on 'Payment' Tab and proceed for payment.

12. Click on 'Submit' button

B. PAYMENT OF FEES

ONLINE MODE

1. The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.

2. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

3. After submitting your payment information in the online application form, PLEASE WAIT FOR THE INTIMATION FROM THE SERVER. DO NOT PRESS BACK OR REFRESH BUTTON IN ORDER TO AVOID DOUBLE CHARGE

4. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated.

5. Non-generation of 'E-Receipt' indicates PAYMENT FAILURE. On failure of payment, Candidates are advised to login again using their Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the process of payment.

6. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details. Please note that if the same cannot be generated, online transaction may not have been successful.

7. For Credit Card users: All charges are listed in Indian Rupee. If you use a non-Indian credit card, your bank will convert to your local currency based on prevailing exchange rates.

8. To ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is completed.

9. There is facility to print application form containing fee details after payment of fees.

C. GUIDELINES FOR SCANNING AND UPLOAD OF DOCUMENTS

Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.

Photograph Image:

- Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture. - Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.

- Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face - If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squintin g and there are no harsh shadows

- If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye" - If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen. - Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.

- Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) - Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb

- Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.

- If the photo is not uploaded at the place of Photo, Admission for Examination will be rejected / denied. Candidate him/hersel f will be responsible for the same.

- Candidate should also ensure that photo is uploaded at the place of photo and signature at the place of signature. If photo in place of photo and signature in place of signature is not uploaded properly, candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

- Candidate must ensure that Photo to be uploaded is of required size and the face should be clearly visible.

Signature, left thumb impression and hand-written declaration Image:

- The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.

- The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.

- The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black ink

- The signature, left thumb impression and the hand written declaration should be of the applicant and not by any other person.

- The signature will be used to put on the Call Letter and wherever necessary.

- If the Applicant’s signature on the attendance sheet or Call letter, signed at the time of the examination, does not match th e signature uploaded, the applicant will be disqualified. Hence candidate shall ensure that clear/visible signature is uploaded.

- Signature / Hand written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.

Left thumb impression:

The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.

The left thumb impression should be of the applicant and not by any other person.

o File type: jpg / jpeg

o Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)

o File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB

Hand-written declaration:

Hand written declaration content is to be as expected.

• Hand written declaration should not be written in CAPITAL LETTERS.

• The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black or blue ink .

• The hand written declaration should be of the applicant and not by any other person.

• Hand written Declaration

o File type: jpg / jpeg

o Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)

o File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB


Scanning the documents:

• Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)

• Set Colour to True Colour.

• Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the left thumb impression / hand written declaration, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).

• The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg

• Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon.

• Candidates using MS Windows/MSOffice can easily obtain documents in .jpeg format by using MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager. Scanned documents in any format can be saved in .jpg / .jpeg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu. Size can be adjusted by using crop and then resize option.

-If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.

- While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his/her photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration.

Procedure for uploading the documents

• While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with separate links for uploading left thumb impression and hand written declaration

• Click on the respective link “Upload left thumb impression / hand written declaration”

• Browse and select the location where the Scanned left thumb impression / hand written declaration file has been saved.

• Select the file by clicking on it

• Click the ‘Open/Upload’ button. Your Online Application will not be registered unless you upload your Left thumb impression and hand written declaration as specified.

• If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.

• Preview of the uploaded image will help to see the quality of the image. In case of unclear / smudged, the same may be reuploaded to the expected clarity /quality.

Note:

(1) In case the left thumb impression or the hand written declaration is unclear / smudged the candidate’s application may be rejected.

(2) After uploading the left thumb impression / hand written declaration in the online application form candidates should check that the images are clear and have been uploaded correctly. In case the left thumb impression or the hand written declaration or signature is not prominently visible, the candidate may edit his/ her application and re-upload his/ her thumb impression / hand written declaration/ clear signature, prior to submitting the form.

(3) After registering online, candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application forms.

NOTE:

Please note that all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Category, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, Email ID, Centre of Examination, etc. will be considered as final and no change/modifications will be allowed after submission of the online application form. Candidates are hence advised to fill in the online applicati on form with utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. The Company will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing of incorrect and/or incomplete details in the application or omission to provide the required details in the application form. An online application which is incomplete in any respect such as without proper passport size photograph, signature, left thumb impression and the hand written declaration uploaded in the online application form/ unsuccessful fee /intimation charges payment will not be considered as valid. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply on-line much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fee / intimation charges to avoid the possibility of disconnection / inability/ failure to log on to the website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam. The Company does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesai d reasons or for any other reason. Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of application would be accepted. Incomplete applications would be rejected.

Any information submitted by an applicant in his/ her application shall be binding on the candidate personally and he/she shall be liable for prosecution/ civil consequences in case the information/ details furnished by him/ her are found to be false at a later stage.

Notes:

  • (i) The category wise vacancies mentioned above are provisional/indicative. The Company reserves the right not to select any candidate from any of the category mentioned above. The category wise numbers indicated above may vary and/or can be interchanged at any stage of recruitment process.
  • (ii) A candidate can apply and appear for either of Generalists or Hindi Officers and not both. In case of multiple registrations / appearances in the online examination / interview, the candidature will be cancelled. Not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate.
  • (iii) Candidates currently serving as Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in United India Insurance Company Limited are not eligible to apply for or appear in this examination. If, at any stage, it is found that a candidate was holding such appointment, the application/candidature shall be liable to rejection and shall stand cancelled automatically, notwithstanding any stage of the recruitment process reached by the candidate.
  • (iv) The vacancies are substantially in Western and Southern Zones of the Country, and the candidates selected are likely to be posted mostly to the offices in Southern/Western zones. The initial period of posting would be for a minimum period of five years and no request for transfer to place of choice would be entertained during the said period.
  • (v) The company’s decision shall be final in all the cases and the candidates are liable to be posted/transferred to any location in the Country

Salary

Emoluments and Benefits:

Basic pay in the scale of Rs. 82485-4050(14)-139185-4390(4)-156745 and other admissible allowances as applicable.

Besides emoluments, other benefits like Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance and National Pension System (NPS), leased accommodation would be extended as per rules of the Company.

Gross pay will be Rs. 1,10,000/- p.m. (approx.) at Metropolitan centers.

Guarantee Bond:

Before joining as probationer, the selected candidates for appointment on regular pay-rolls of the Company will be required to give an undertaking to serve the Company for a minimum period of five years including probationary period. In the event of their resigning from the Company before the expiry of the bond period, they will be liable to pay liquidated damages equivalent to actual gross salary paid to him/her but not exceeding the amount of gross salary for one year.

In addition, the resignee shall also liable to pay an amount of Rs. 35,000/ (THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND ONLY) towards Onboarding and Integration cost. In the event of his/her voluntarily resigning after completion of one year but before completing five years of service, the liquidated damages shall be proportionately reduced depending on the length of service rendered after completion of the probation period of one year. No lien/bond executed to retain a substantive post with their new employer will be binding upon the Company and no Leave Salary or Pension Contribution will be made

Service Conditions:

The selected candidates shall have to conform with the rules / regulations / laws as applicable in the Company from time to time. Posts are permanent and the selected candidates on appointment may be posted or transferred to any place in India as may be decided by the Company; no requests / representations shall be entertained in this regard

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Conditions: (as on 30.06.2026)

a) Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either: -

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

b) Essential Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 30.06.2026. The minimum Educational Qualification required for the disciplines are:

Generalists

The minimum Educational Qualification required is Graduate Degree/Post Graduate in any discipline, including but not limited to Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science, etc., from a recognized university and having secured a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD Category) in either of the degree examination.

Hindi Officers

Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD Category)

OR

Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as the compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD Category).

Notes:

(i) The qualifications mentioned above must have been obtained from a recognized University or Institute in India, duly approved by the UGC / AICTE, as applicable, and recognized by the Central Government. The qualification should have been acquired through the prescribed educational pattern of 10+2+3 or an equivalent system.

(ii) Where only CGPA / OGPA / SGPA are awarded, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating the norms of the University regarding conversion of grade into percentage and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e., 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.

(iii) The candidates should have completed the qualification mentioned above on or before 30.06.2026. Those who have written the final examination for the minimum education qualification as on 30.06.2026 and whose results are declared after 30.06.2026 are not eligible to apply. (iv) Working knowledge of Computer is a must.

c) Age (as on 30.06.2026)

A candidate must be of the Minimum Age of 21 years and the Maximum Age of 30 years as on 30.06.2026.

Candidate must have been born not earlier than 30.06.1996 and not later than 30.06.2005 (both days inclusive).

Defence service personnel disabled in operation during the hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as consequence thereof.

Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their Husbands, who have not remarried.

9 Years

Existing Confirmed Employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies (including GIC & Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd.)

8 Years

Notes:

(i) In case of a candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories, the age relaxation will be available on a cumulative basis subject to the maximum age not exceeding 45 years.

(ii) Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) and produce the original certificate(s) for verification at the time of interview and /or any subsequent stage of recruitment process.

(iii) The age relaxation for Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) shall be as applicable to Ex-Servicemen.

(iv) No change in the category/discipline of any candidate is permitted after registration of online application, no correspondence/email/phone will be entertained in this regard.
