The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has prescribed detailed eligibility conditions for candidates applying for the IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) Recruitment 2026 (CRP SPL-XVI). Before submitting the online application form, candidates must ensure that they satisfy all the prescribed requirements regarding nationality, age limit, educational qualification, reservation, and other eligibility conditions.

Important Rules

  • Relaxation is available only on submission of valid certificates.
  • OBC candidates must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer.
  • General and EWS candidates are not eligible for category-based age relaxation.

IBPS SO Educational Qualification 2026

Educational qualification is the most important eligibility condition because each Specialist Officer post requires a different professional degree.

The qualification must be obtained from a recognized University/Institution approved by the Government of India or the appropriate regulatory authority, and the final result must have been declared on or before the prescribed cut-off date.
