Jharkhand TET 2026 Notification has been released by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on 28 March 2026. The online application process will start from 21 April 2026 and continue till 21 May 2026. Candidates who want to become Primary (Class 1-5) or Upper Primary (Class 6-8) teachers in Jharkhand must qualify JTET exam.

Eligibility depends on the paper candidate chooses.
Paper 1 Eligibility (Primary Teacher Class 1-5)
Age Limit
Minimum age: 18 years
Upper age: No limit specified
Educational Qualification
Candidate must have:
✔ 12th with 50% marks
AND
One of the following:
✔ 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
✔ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education
OR
✔ D.El.Ed qualified candidates eligible
Paper 2 Eligibility (Upper Primary Teacher Class 6-8)

Minimum age: 21 years
Qualification
Candidate must have:
✔ Graduation degree
AND
✔ B.Ed OR D.El.Ed
