RBI Assistant 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidate must be: Indian citizen, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee (before 1 Jan 1962), or person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries (as per notice), with eligibility certificate where required.
Age Limit (as on 01/02/2026)
- 20 to 28 years
- Born not earlier than 02/02/1998 and not later than 01/02/2006 (both inclusive)
Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit)
- SC/ST: +5 years (up to 33)
- OBC: +3 years (up to 31)
- PwBD: +10 (GEN/EWS), +13 (OBC), +15 (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: service years + 3 years (max 50)
- Widows/divorced women/judicially separated (not remarried): up to 35 (40 for SC/ST)
- RBI work experience: experience years (max 3)
Educational Qualification (as on 01/02/2026)
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Knowledge of word processing on PC
