SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 Out: Download Result PDF

The SBI PO Prelims Result 2026 has been released on 28 August 2026 by the State Bank of India. The result PDF lists 15,802 shortlisted candidates. The official notification states that approximately ten times the number of vacancies may be shortlisted category-wise for the Mains examination.

Factors Affecting SBI PO Cut Off 2026

The category-wise cut-off may be influenced by:

• Category-wise shortlisting ratio

Candidates should not calculate their chances solely from attempted questions. Incorrect answers attract a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question.

The complete Mains examination carries 230 marks and has a total duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Unlike the Preliminary Examination, SBI applies minimum qualifying requirements to individual Mains sections and the Descriptive Test. Approximately three times the category-wise vacancies may be shortlisted for Phase III, subject to qualifying conditions determined by SBI.

According to the official notification, candidates should retain and carry:

• SBI PO Mains call letter
• Authenticated original Preliminary Examination call letter
• Authenticated copy of the identity proof used during Prelims
• Original valid photo identity proof
• Self-attested photocopy of the identity proof
• Additional documents specified in the Mains call letter

Candidates should read the Mains call letter carefully because missing documents can create problems at the examination centre.

The Preliminary Examination marks are not added to the final merit list.

For final selection:

• Mains examination marks of 230 are converted to 75 marks.
• Group Exercise and Interview marks of 50 are converted to 25 marks.
• Final merit is calculated out of 100 marks.
• Candidates must qualify separately in Phase II and Phase III.

If the correct roll number does not appear in the PDF, the candidate has not been shortlisted for the Mains examination under the current result.
