The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for the Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026 (SSC JHT 2026) for recruitment to Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India.
This examination is conducted for highly specialized language roles including translation, drafting, and official communication work.

SSC JHT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (As on 01 August 2026)
For Junior Posts (JHT / JTO / JT):
Candidate must have:
Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject
OR
Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject
OR
Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or medium
AND
Recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English)
OR
2 years’ experience in translation work in Central/State Government offices
For Senior Posts (SHT / ST / STO):
Same Master’s Degree conditions as above
AND
Recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation
OR
3 years’ experience in translation work
Age Limit (As on 01 August 2026)
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years
Candidate must be born between: 02 August 1996 and 01 August 2008
