Coal India Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 660 Vacancies, Apply Online from 12 May

Coal India Limited Recruitment 2026: Coal India Limited has released the official Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 Notification under Advertisement No. 03/2026 for 660 tentative vacancies in different disciplines. The recruitment will be conducted for Management Trainee posts in E-1 Grade through a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. No interview will be conducted for final selection.

Coal India Limited, a Government of India undertaking and Maharatna company under the Ministry of Coal, has invited online applications from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Management Trainee in multiple disciplines. The selection will be based on marks obtained in the Computer Based Online Test only.

The vacancies are available in the following disciplines:

Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, System, Electronics & Telecommunication, Geology, Industrial Engineering, Rajbhasha Hindi, and Company Secretary.

Important: Candidates should not wait for the last date because Coal India has clearly advised applicants to submit the form well in advance to avoid last-minute network or portal issues.

A total of 660 vacancies have been notified. These vacancies are tentative and may increase or decrease as per Coal India Limited’s requirement.

Candidates must ensure that they satisfy the educational qualification, age limit, marks requirement, and discipline-specific eligibility before applying. Admission to CBT will be provisional, and candidature will be verified later during document verification and medical examination.

For the Company Secretary discipline, preference will be given to candidates who have worked in a listed company.

Mechanical Engineering

Electronics & Telecommunication

Industrial Engineering

The upper age limit is 30 years as on 30 April 2026 for General / UR and EWS category candidates.

The maximum age after relaxation should not exceed 56 years on the crucial date, i.e., 30 April 2026, except for employees of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries.

The application fee includes ₹1,000 plus applicable GST of ₹180, totaling ₹1,180. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online only.

The selection process for Coal India Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 consists of:

1. Computer Based Test
2. Document Verification
3. Initial Medical Examination
4. Final Appointment after successful verification and medical fitness

There will be no interview. Final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Computer Based Test only.

The Computer Based Online Test will be conducted for 3 hours in one sitting. It will consist of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.

In case of any error in the Hindi version of the question paper, the English version will be treated as valid and final.

Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in each paper.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Management Trainee in E-1 Grade.

Apart from basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, HRA, cafeteria-based allowances, Performance Related Pay, leave benefits, medical facilities, CMPF, CMPS, gratuity, and CIL Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme as per company rules.

Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond at the time of joining.

Candidates selected as Management Trainees may be posted anywhere in Coal India Limited subsidiaries, including coalfield areas. Applicants must be willing to serve anywhere in India.

Candidates will be required to submit three subsidiary choices in order of preference, but the final posting will depend on vacancies and Coal India Limited’s requirement.

OBC-NCL Certificate

OBC-NCL candidates must ensure that their caste appears in the Central List of OBCs. The certificate should be issued by the competent authority on or after 01 April 2026 in the prescribed format applicable for Government of India / Central PSU appointments.

EWS Certificate

EWS candidates must produce a valid Income and Asset Certificate based on income for FY 2025–26 and valid for 2026–27. The gross annual family income should be below ₹8 lakh, and asset-related exclusions will apply as per Government of India guidelines.

PwBD Certificate

PwBD candidates must have benchmark disability of 40% or above and must upload the prescribed disability certificate along with UDID card.

The Coal India MT Admit Card 2026 will be released through the individual candidate login portal. The CBT date, exam city, reporting time, and exam-related instructions will be mentioned on the admit card.

Coal India Limited will not send the admit card by post. Candidates must regularly check the official website and their registered email ID for updates.

The final list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the official Coal India Limited website. Candidates shortlisted in the CBT will be called for Document Verification and Initial Medical Examination.
