IBPS PO Bank-Wise Revised Vacancy 2026

NR means Not Reported. PwBD vacancies are horizontal reservations included within the category-wise total; they are not additional vacancies.

The following 11 public sector banks are participating in CRP PO/MT-XVI:

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed nationality, age and educational-qualification conditions. Merely qualifying in the examination does not establish final eligibility. Original documents are checked during the Interview and subsequent recruitment stages.

IBPS PO Nationality

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India;
• A subject of Nepal;
• A subject of Bhutan;
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates falling under the latter categories must possess the eligibility certificate prescribed by the Government of India.

IBPS PO Age Limit 2026

The age of the applicant is calculated as on 1 July 2026.

A candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 July 1996 and not later than 1 July 2006, with both dates included.

IBPS PO Age Relaxation

EWS candidates receive reservation benefits but no separate relaxation in the maximum age unless covered under another eligible provision.

IBPS PO Educational Qualification

A candidate must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

The final graduation result must have been declared on or before 21 July 2026. The candidate must possess a valid marksheet or degree certificate on the date of registration.

IBPS has not prescribed a minimum graduation percentage. Candidates are, however, required to enter the percentage obtained in graduation while completing the application form.

Can Final-Year Students Apply?

A final-year student could apply only if the graduation result had been officially declared on or before 21 July 2026 and the candidate possessed valid documentary proof. A result declared after the eligibility cut-off date does not satisfy the notification requirement.

The IBPS PO selection process comprises the following stages:

1. Online Preliminary Examination

The Descriptive Paper may be evaluated through an automated scoring mechanism validated for measuring writing proficiency.

IBPS PO Negative Marking

A penalty applies to incorrect answers in the objective tests of both Prelims and Mains. For every wrong answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question is deducted. No penalty applies to an unanswered question.

Candidates shortlisted through the Main Examination must first appear in the mandatory Personality Test and subsequently participate in the Common Interview.

A candidate must qualify separately in the Main Examination and Interview and rank sufficiently high in the combined merit list for provisional allotment.
