The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the complete schedule for the IBPS PO/MT-XVI Recruitment 2026 through the official notification. The recruitment process spans several months and includes online registration, Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Personality Test, Interview, and Provisional Allotment.

The online application window will remain open from 1 July to 21 July 2026. Candidates must complete the registration process, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee within this period. After the registration window closes, IBPS will provide a two-day Edit Window during which candidates who have successfully submitted their applications can make permissible corrections by paying the prescribed correction fee.
The IBPS PO Preliminary Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 22 August and 23 August 2026, as per the official IBPS Calendar. Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be shortlisted for the Main Examination, which is scheduled for 04 October 2026.
Following the declaration of the Main Examination result, shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the newly introduced Personality Test, which is mandatory but non-qualifying. Thereafter, candidates will be called for the Interview, conducted by the participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank. The final Provisional Allotment is expected to be completed in January 2027, based on candidates' merit, preferences, reservation policy, and vacancies reported by the participating banks.
