The IBPS PO Age Limit 2026 is one of the most important eligibility criteria that candidates must satisfy before applying for the IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI Recruitment 2026. IBPS has clearly specified the minimum and maximum age limits in the official notification, and the age of candidates will be calculated as on 1 July 2026. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed age criteria or fail to produce valid supporting documents at the time of document verification will not be considered for recruitment.

To be eligible for IBPS PO 2026, a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 July 1996 and not later than 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive). This means candidates should be at least 20 years old and should not have attained the age of 30 years as on the prescribed cut-off date.

IBPS PO Age Relaxation 2026
IBPS provides upper age relaxation to reserved categories in accordance with the Government of India guidelines. Candidates claiming age relaxation must possess valid certificates in the prescribed format and produce them during the Interview and Document Verification stage.

Important Notes on Age Relaxation
- The relaxation in the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates can be availed only in accordance with Government rules and, where permitted, may be combined with one other eligible category.
- The maximum age limit of 30 years is applicable to General and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates before any applicable relaxation.
- Candidates seeking age relaxation must produce original category certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
- Failure to produce valid documentary proof of age relaxation during document verification will result in cancellation of the relaxation benefit and may lead to rejection of the candidature.

Documents Required for Age Verification
During the Interview and Document Verification stage, candidates will be required to produce valid proof of their date of birth. Acceptable documents include:
- Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority, or
- Class 10 (SSC/SSLC) Certificate showing the Date of Birth.
Candidates claiming age relaxation under reserved categories must also produce the relevant category certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
