How SBI PO final merit is calculated
The Preliminary Examination is qualifying and its marks are not added to the final merit list. Candidates must qualify Phase II and Phase III separately. SBI adds the converted Phase-II score and the converted Group Exercise plus Interview score to prepare the final merit list out of 100.

Official formula: Phase-II marks are normalized to 75 and Group Exercise plus Interview marks are normalized to 25. The final merit list is prepared after adding these converted scores. The Psychometric Test is used for personality profiling; the notification does not assign it separate marks in the final 100-mark calculation.

SBI decides the minimum qualifying marks for the Group Exercise and Interview. A candidate cannot rely only on a strong Mains score because Phase II and Phase III must be qualified separately, and Phase III contributes 25% of the final normalized merit score.

Provisional selection is not the same as unconditional appointment.
