SBI Clerk Cut Off: State-wise, Category-wise & Previous Year Trend Details
The SBI Clerk Cut Off is released separately for the Prelims and Mains stages. The Prelims cut off is qualifying in nature for the Mains exam, while the Mains cut off is the decisive benchmark for final selection, subject to the local language requirement where applicable. SBI hosts the result and marks utilities for Junior Associates on its careers portal.
The cut off changes every year because of:
- vacancies
- state-wise competition
- exam difficulty
- candidate volume
- category-wise availability
That is why students should never rely on one “overall India” SBI Clerk cut off. It is a state-wise exam, so the real comparison is always your state vs previous years of your state. SBI’s own recruitment framework and candidate information pages reflect this state-wise logic.
SBI Clerk Cut Off 2025
For the 2025-26 cycle, the Prelims exam was conducted in September 2025 and the Mains exam was conducted later in 2025, while the Mains result/marks utility appeared on SBI’s careers results page in 2026 for the Junior Associate recruitment under Advt. No. CRPD/CR/2025-26/06.
Below is the year-wise formatted cut off presentation based on the figures you provided.

What Students Should Actually Learn from SBI Clerk Cut Off
1. Prelims cut off is not the final target
Students often over-focus on Prelims cut off. That is a mistake. Prelims only gets you into Mains. The real battle is Mains.
2. Mains cut off is the real selection benchmark
If your target is actual selection, your preparation should be planned backward from the Mains state cut off, not from the Prelims score.
3. State-wise comparison matters more than overall comparison
A candidate from UP should compare UP trends, a candidate from Tamil Nadu should compare Tamil Nadu trends, and so on.
4. Safe-score planning is smarter than cut-off chasing
Instead of trying to just “clear” the cut off, students should prepare a cushion above the recent pattern.
