SSC CHSL Apply Online 2026: Registration Process, How to Fill Form, Documents and Fee Payment

Candidates can apply for SSC CHSL 2026 online through the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, from 7 September to 7 October 2026. First, create a fresh One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal, then log in, select the SSC CHSL 2026 application, fill personal and educational details, capture a live photograph, upload the signature, pay the fee if applicable, preview the form and submit it.

The Staff Selection Commission has opened the SSC CHSL 2026 online application process for approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies. Candidates should carefully fill every detail because incorrect information can lead to rejection during document verification or final appointment.

SSC CHSL Apply Online 2026: Documents Required

Keep the following details and documents ready before beginning the application process.

Candidates are not required to upload a pre-existing photograph. SSC will capture a live photograph during the application process.

How to Register for SSC CHSL 2026?

Go to ssc.gov.in and click on the registration or login option.

Candidates who do not have a registration on the new SSC website must create a fresh One-Time Registration.

Important: OTR created on the old SSC website, ssc.nic.in, is not valid on the new ssc.gov.in portal.

Enter the required basic details carefully.

Once the OTR is created, it remains valid for future examinations conducted through the new SSC portal.

SSC advises candidates to opt for Aadhaar-based authentication while creating OTR.

Candidates should ensure that Aadhaar-linked mobile access is available before proceeding.

After completing OTR:

1. Log in to the SSC Candidate Dashboard.
2. Open the “Live Examination” or “Apply” section.
3. Select Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026.
4. Click on “Apply Now”.

Read the instructions carefully before proceeding.

Several fields may be automatically populated through OTR. Check every detail carefully.

Do not submit the form until every auto-filled and manually entered detail is correct.

Enter the Class 12 or equivalent examination details accurately.

Candidates must choose three examination centres, in order of preference, within the same SSC region.

SSC tries to allot candidates their preferred centre but does not guarantee the choice. The Commission may change or divert a centre if required.

When the application module prompts for the photograph:

1. Sit or stand in a well-lit place with a plain background.
2. Keep the camera at eye level.
3. Face the camera directly.
4. Ensure the complete face is visible within the prescribed frame.
5. Do not wear spectacles, cap or mask.
6. Do not click a photo of an old photo.

A blurred, side-facing, miniature or improperly captured photograph may lead to application rejection.

Upload the signature only after checking its format and quality.
