Horizontal-Category Allocation

The 1,674 candidates shown under the UR category include 250 EWS, 15 SC and 568 OBC candidates who qualified at the UR standard.

The SSC CHSL tentative allocation was prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in Section-I and Section-II of the Tier-II examination.

The allocation was also subject to candidates qualifying in:

1. Section-III Computer Knowledge Test;
2. Section-IV Skill Test or Typing Test, wherever applicable;
3. Minimum category-wise qualifying marks;
4. Post-specific eligibility conditions; and
5. Online option-cum-preference submission.

A candidate’s allocation was decided through the merit-cum-preference system. This means that both the candidate’s Tier-II merit and submitted post preferences were considered.

Only the 13,395 candidates who submitted their online post preferences between 19 and 25 June 2026 were considered for the further selection process.

The minimum qualifying marks prescribed for Section-I, Section-II and Section-III of Tier-II are:

These are minimum qualifying percentages. They should not be confused with the marks obtained by the last-selected candidate for a particular post or department.

Final allocation depends on merit, category, post preference, qualifying standards and the number of available vacancies.

The Computer Knowledge Test formed Section-III of Session-I. It carried a maximum of 45 marks and was qualifying in nature.

Candidates who did not meet the applicable Computer Knowledge Test cut-off could not be considered for allocation, irrespective of their Section-I and Section-II marks.

The Typing Test is qualifying in nature. SSC fixed the cut-off based on the maximum percentage of errors or mistakes allowed.

The 7% limit applies to UR candidates, while candidates belonging to all other listed categories were permitted up to 10% mistakes.

For the Data Entry Operator and DEO Grade ‘A’ posts, the Skill Test was also qualifying in nature.

UR candidates were permitted a maximum of 5% mistakes, while candidates belonging to the other listed categories were permitted up to 7% mistakes.

SSC has introduced a sliding mechanism to maximise the filling of vacancies in a particular examination cycle.

Vacancies may remain unfilled when provisionally allocated candidates:

• Do not join the allocated post;
• Remain absent during verification;
• Decline the allocation; or
• Become ineligible during the verification process.

The sliding mechanism provides a single round of reallocation for such unutilised vacancies. The process is intended to provide fair, merit-based opportunities while reducing the number of unfilled posts.

Yes. Physical attendance in the sliding process is compulsory.

The official notice clearly states that a candidate who fails to attend the sliding process physically will be treated as absent and will not be considered for the final result.

If two or more candidates obtained equal marks in the Tier-II examination, SSC applied the following criteria one after another until the tie was resolved:

1. Higher marks in Section-I of Tier-II;
2. Higher marks in the Tier-I examination; and
3. Date of birth, with the older candidate placed higher.

For post code L16, relating to the Border Roads Organisation, only male candidates were eligible under the notified conditions.

According to the official result notice:

• Results of eight candidates have been withheld;
• Candidature of one candidate has been cancelled; and
• 12 candidates have been debarred in CHSLE 2025.

Affected candidates should check the roll numbers provided in the official PDF. Any representation or request for clarification should be submitted only through the prescribed SSC channel.

SSC has stated that representations received from candidates regarding the Tier-II answer keys were carefully examined.

Where required, the answer keys were modified, and the revised final answer keys were used for result evaluation.

The FRTA notice does not specify an exact date for releasing the final answer keys or detailed marks.
