SSC Stenographer Final Result 2025 Out: 1,715 Candidates Shortlisted for Grade C & D

The SSC Stenographer Final Result 2025 has been declared for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2025. The Staff Selection Commission released the final result on 25 August 2026 after completing the Sliding and Identity Verification process.

A total of 1,715 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted, including 232 candidates for Stenographer Grade C and 1,483 candidates for Stenographer Grade D.

Candidates can now check their final selection status, fresh rank, allotted post and department through the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in. The final selection remains provisional and will be confirmed only after Document Verification by the allotted ministry or department.

Latest Update: SSC has issued fresh ranks to candidates included in the final result. These ranks supersede the ranks allotted during the First Round of Tentative Allocation released on 31 July 2026.

Candidates should use only the official SSC website to download the result and merit-list PDFs. The official write-up contains allocation details, post codes, vacancies and marks of the last shortlisted candidates.

SSC has provisionally recommended candidates against 232 Grade C vacancies and 1,483 Grade D vacancies.

Category-Wise Shortlisted Candidates

Candidates selected against horizontal reservations such as ESM, OH, HH, VH and PwBD–Others are also included in their respective vertical categories. Therefore, horizontal-category figures must not be added separately to the overall total.

The final result has been prepared after the mandatory Sliding and Identity Verification process conducted by the SSC Regional Offices.

Candidates who selected FIX accepted their existing allocation. Candidates choosing FLOAT remained eligible for a higher-preference allocation during the sliding process.

SSC made 111 new allocations against vacancies created because some candidates did not attend the mandatory physical Sliding and Identity Verification process.

As per the official notice, candidates who remained absent during the sliding process were not considered for the final result.

There is no single common SSC Stenographer Final Cut Off 2026 for all candidates. SSC has released separate marks of the last shortlisted candidate according to:

• Stenographer Grade C or Grade D
• Post and department code
• Candidate’s category
• Horizontal reservation category
• English or Hindi medium, wherever applicable
• Merit-cum-preference allocation

If two or more candidates secured equal aggregate marks in the Computer-Based Examination, SSC resolved the tie by applying the following criteria sequentially:

1. Higher marks in Part III—English Language and Comprehension
2. Higher marks in Part II—General Awareness
3. Candidate older in age
4. Alphabetical order of candidates’ names

The next rule was applied only when the tie remained unresolved after applying the previous rule.

SSC has allotted fresh ranks to candidates included in the final result. These fresh ranks supersede the ranks issued during the First Round of Tentative Allocation.

The other conditions mentioned in the revised FRTA write-up dated 31 July 2026 will remain applicable unless they conflict with the final result notice dated 25 August 2026.

Candidates must therefore consider the fresh rank and final allocation as the latest official position.

The Commission has stated that the detailed marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on the SSC website shortly.
