The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has scheduled the SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 examination from 30 September to 30 October 2026. Candidates can check their examination-city details through the designated login on ssc.gov.in SSC says the Admission Certificate, commonly called the admit card or hall ticket, will tentatively become available 2–3 days before each candidate’s own examination date.
If your exam is on 30 September, check the official login now. If your examination is scheduled later, your city details may be visible before your admit card becomes available. Your SSC account is the final source for your individual admit-card status.

Is the SSC CGL Admit Card 2026 Out?
The answer depends on your allotted examination date. SSC has announced a candidate-specific release schedule: the Admission Certificate is expected 2–3 days before the respective exam. This means candidates appearing at the beginning of the exam window should check their login first, while candidates with later October dates may have to wait.
A message saying “Admission Certificate not available” does not, by itself, mean your application has been cancelled. First check the exam date shown in your SSC account. If your exam is still more than three days away, continue checking the official login as your date approaches.
SSC’s public notice states the release timeline; your individual SSC login confirms whether your certificate is available to download.
How to Download SSC CGL Admit Card 2026
Follow these steps to download your SSC CGL Tier 1 hall ticket:
- Open the SSC official website and select Login/Register, or visit the SSC candidate login.
- Enter the registration details and password requested on the official login page.
- Open the Admission Certificate section for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier 1). Follow the label displayed in your SSC account if the dashboard wording differs.
- Open your certificate when it becomes available for your allotted exam date.
- Check your personal details, exam date, shift, reporting time and complete examination-centre address.
- Download the document and take a clear printout.
- Read every instruction printed on your individual Admission Certificate before exam day.
If the website is busy, try again on the official portal. Do not give your SSC password or one-time code to a third-party download service.

Do not assume 30 September is your personal exam date. It is the first day of the overall SSC CGL Tier 1 examination window. Check the date allotted to you in your SSC account.
Details to Check on Your SSC CGL Hall Ticket
As soon as you download the Admission Certificate, verify:
- Your name, photograph and identifying details
- Registration or roll number
- Allotted examination date and shift
- Reporting time and any gate-closing instruction
- Examination-centre name and complete address
- Scribe-related details, if applicable
- Documents and other instructions printed on the certificate
Follow the timings on your own Admission Certificate if you see a different general shift timetable elsewhere. If an essential detail is incorrect, contact the concerned SSC Regional Office promptly.
When writing to SSC, the CGL notification asks candidates to provide their registration number, roll number, registered email address and mobile number, name, date of birth and examination name.
What to Carry to the SSC CGL 2026 Exam Centre
SSC requires a printout of the Admission Certificate. The additional requirements depend on the candidate’s circumstances and the instructions printed on the certificate.
The SSC CGL 2026 notification states that candidates who could not undergo Aadhaar-based authentication must:
- Report to the examination centre two hours before the scheduled start;
- Carry at least two recent passport-size colour photographs; and
- Carry an original valid photo ID showing the same date of birth as the Admission Certificate.
The notification lists examples of valid IDs, including Aadhaar or an e-Aadhaar printout, voter ID, driving licence, PAN card and passport. If your photo ID does not show your date of birth, carry an additional original document proving it, as specified in the notification. A date-of-birth mismatch can prevent entry.
Candidates using a scribe should also check the applicable medical, identification and Scribe Entry Pass requirements. Read the instructions on your Admission Certificate and paragraphs 14.6–14.10 of the official notification before leaving for the centre.

The official 2026 notification specifies 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer in Tier 1. It also provides extended time for candidates eligible for a scribe.
